And another day in paradise begins...

Just something about sitting on the beach watching the sun come up while listening to the waves gently splash onto the shore.   Virtually no wind, the Caribbean is calm, birds flying around and my Mexican  friends are cleaning the beach.

Love these moments!

Sun setting on the second day...

Wow, what an incredible first couple of days, makes me want to quit working and just enjoy life, damn money and concept of needing to pay for stuff.  Do you think if wet re-elect Obama (or clinton) that we can work this in to the welfare program?

Truly the grand bahia is a wonderful place, pools are great, grounds are beautifully kept, food is plentiful and good, and the bartenders keep giving us free drinks (yes,  I know it's an all inclusive - just sayin').

This morning I made a tee-time for tomorrow as we get 'free' golf while we stay here (actually I need to pay for a cart because it is mandatory (100) and a club rental (50), golf balls and tees, and driving range balls (50+)).  Later I decided to cancel after Devin and I did a quick scuba class I the pool,  tomorrow he and I will do an open water class and dive in 35 feet of water someplace. So excited as this will be a lot more fun then losing golf balls every other hole, plus spending time like this with my son will truly be priceless.  Can't wait.

This afternoon we made it to the beach for the first time to do some snorkeling,  wow is this awesome.   Owen was afraid at first of getting eaten by a shark until I explained that sharks want a big meal so they would most likely pass him by for me, not sure he completely believed me though.  Pretty cool to see so many fish and sea creatures,  amazing sights.

Off to dinner soon, and more free drinks

First 15 hours = pretty awesome

Flight in was flawless, took off late from mpls and arrived early to cancun :-).  Customs was a breeze, and RĂ¡meo got us to the Grand Bahia before 9.

Made dinner before buffet closed at 10:30.  This place is amazing.  Walked around for a while and got to the waters edge before the night was over.  Couldn't see much as it was very dark with no moon.

Hotel room is perfect, everyone slept well, and with a couple of air fresheners (good thinking michelle) the place feels like home.

Both of the boys can't stop smiling,  definitely worth the money so far!

YES,  WE ARE IN MEXICO!  TEQUILA!

CANCUN BOUND!!!

Finally we are off to a warm tropical climate for a week of nothing but relaxation and fun.  Staying at the Grand bahai coba about 75 minutes south of cancun.  About to cross off a couple of items from the bucket list.  Hope to get an opportunity to go deep sea fishing down there.

Leaving New Hamshire for lunch in St. Johnsbury, VT.

Enjoyed our stay at the Nordic Village.  Pretty sure we heard something dying a slow death last night around 2 am just outside our bedroom window.  I checked to make sure the boys were still asleep and not the ones outside, they were fine and I went back to sleep, not as easy for Michelle.

Sworn In - Maine Fun - N.H. Bound!

Owen getting sworn In

A cool bridge in the middle of nowhere Maine (I think that was the name of the town)

Mollyocket Days in Bethel Maine, learned a little bit about the (kinda) famous Indian Princes at the town festival.  Lots of fun for everyone.  Sad that we missed the frog jumping contest, my money would have been on Devin (he can really jump).

New Hamshire Down!  We've only seen a little bit of this state so far but it is absolutely beautiful.

and a little cool off after a long car ride.

On the schedule for tomorrow?  ? ?   we are debating doing the Mt Washington drive to the top, here are some reviews, sounds like fun.

Mt. Washington (click here)
 - the one titled 'terrified' has us all a bit nervous, not to mention all the other reviews with similar thoughts and feelings.

What do you think?
